Most of the time it is inbound fax. Yes, I have used e-mail for outbound documents. I'm not afraid to sign the paperwork and scan and e-mail the attachment. I don't know of a way to get the other guy to do that, though. Thus, Magic Jack seems like the best way to generate a phoneline with inbound real phone number.
BTW- I tried to use it briefly with WINFAX but had trouble and never took the time to debug it. I'd bet that would work too. Just connect Magic Jack to the USB port, then connect a short phone line from it to the modem input on the same computer.
