Hello, I am new to this Forum.

Just curious.

My brother in law is coming next week from overseas. He has directv over there. I also have directv here in the states. If he brings his receiver, do you know if it will work ???

It would be nice to get all those international channels here in the States.

DirecTV from another country won't work in the US. Where is he from, I undestood DirecTV runs a latin america operation but nothing overseas?

He is from Peru, South America. I am in SoCal.

Ah, I was confused with Overseas. That is probably the Latin america operation, so no, it will not work in the US.
