Receiver Updates

Does anyone know how the DTV receivers get an update? I just spoke to a Tech Support rep that couldn't tell me if an update was being pushed to the HR20 receivers. My HR20 has been on the last couple of mornings when I've came downstairs, making me think there is an update it's trying to install. But that could be a sign on another problem. Just trying to eliminate some things before I call them back for " help".

if you go into the setup menus it should say what version software (and the date installed)

Thanks for the info. If this out there, why was the TS rep clueless about it? Not like it's a government secret

Not being secretive he just didn't know. Some of the people here can be far more knowledgeable than anyone you might get on the phone at Direct.
