Receiver reset while watching tv

We were watching hgtv, all of a sudden the receiver just reboots. It didnt take that long to come back, not sure if it was just updating the guide or something, but this hasnt ever happened before. When it did come back, it was on hgtv.

They will just do that sometimes from my experience. Remember it is almost like a computer these days and sometimes something crashes so it re-boots. I would not worry to much unless it starts making a habit out of it.

It is a computer.. Unplug the box for ten secs. If it happens again within 5 days call dish.

Where you recording a weak OTA at the same time? I;ve had that happen when the OTA tuner looses the signal while recording.

Nothing was recording. I cant get ota where i live
