Is it possible to have an outlet wired and ready that a receiver box could be moved to on occasion. My son is a Marine and at home at most 10 days a year. Would like to be able to move living room box to his room when he is in town.

Do you have a coax line ran to his room ?
If so, hook the coax to the LMB/MS depending on your set up and then move the box when he needs it.

What Jimbo said is a good ending to the story, but we need more information.
Like what dish do you have and is it using a SWM or non-SWM LNB?
Is there a Multiswitch being used if non-SWM?
How many other receivers are on the system?
What kind of receiver do you plan to move?
DVR or non-DVR?
If it's a DVR then you may need to have two lines in the room, unless you're using a SWM set up.

Install isn't until next. 1 HD DVR and 2 HD boxes. There is coax that is ran to his room. All outlets on the current TWC setup terminate at a box outside house. Whole house DVR is to be set-up so will just be moving one of the non-DVR boxes. Don't think he would be too interested in using the DVR for the limited time he is home. I did meet with the installer at his shop but he hasn't visited house yet.
