Receiver question

I just signed up for D* after many years with E* and have a few basic questions since I am not familiar with this new equipment. Can I connect a regular HD receiver to a SD tv or should I just get a SD receiver? The reason I ask is because I want to have access to the whole house dvr and am not sure I will have access to it on a SD tv.

Yes you can connect an HD receiver to a SD television.

Just use the RCA (Composite) out to the TV or S Video.

I personally wouldn't get anything but a HD receiver. SD is old technology and should no longer be given out by TV providers since HD equipment works on SD televisons.
