rebooting reciever

I just wanted to check to see if your receiver is still rebooting? If not did the trick Lownote2 mentioned work?

no it did not

i finally believe i have it fixed after 6 recievers. they kept sending me "recycled" recievers. a new one appears to have solved the problem

It appears to be resolved after i recently got a "new" reciever as opposed to the previous 6 recievers that were "recycled"

rebooting receiver

I have had an issue with the vip612 dvr receiver for the last year. it was "rebooting" on its own several times a day. sometimes several times an hour. several service calls and 6 receivers later, the last technician installed a new receiver as opposed to the recycled or remanufactured one. this has fixed the problem. it was the reciever all along, not a grounding problem or anything else. the last tech told me that this reciever has been a real pain. so, if you have this problem of random rebooting, its the receiver!!!!!
