Seems similar to the deal between Real and MLB.
Digital media company RealNetworks Inc. said it would team up with Fox Sports to offer live coverage of college football games over the Internet for the 2003 season.
The deal between RealNetworks, known for its RealOne media player, and Fox Sports Interactive Media, which is part of media conglomerate News Corp. Ltd., is another move by RealNetworks to seek growth by offering online content.
The companies said the plan to offer exclusive and live coverage of non-televised and pay-per-view games would provide the first live, season-long coverage of college football.
Subscribers to RealOne SuperPass, RealNetworks' online service, will pay $9.95 per month to see out-of-market games, while additional pay-per-view games can be bought for $14.95 each, the companies said.
