TechTV artice RE: HDTV-in-a-box, and 921 upgrade

Folks;

In this TechTV article, there was a reference to a $600 upgrade to the HDTV-in-a-box deal that give you a 921?

I did, and I'll be asking after it, as the article is recent. (2/24/04)

Yes, it is available for new customers and has been for a while now. New customers can get the HDTV w/ 921 for $1599 installed. You should be able to order it at any decent retailer -- and you have been able to do that for a month or so now. You'll have to wait for the 921, of course, but you CAN order it at that price.

Existing customers cannot. Dish keeps saying that they can -- but no dealers have any information on HOW to do it at this point. That's what I've been complaining about.

I got tried of waiting. I ordered the HDTV w/ 811 for $999 and the 921 for another $999. When I get it, I'll sell the 811 on EBay for $350 or so -- and should end up paying almost the same ($1650) for the HDTV w/ 921.
