Ravens cut Ray Rice

Tonight's news just should a clip of ravens fans pouring in to the stadium wearing RICE jerseys.

My opinion, a lot of people are acting like hypocrites... Initially the Rice video showed him dragging his unconscious girlfriend out of an elevator...How do people think she became unconscious in the first place? Come on, it was obvious Rice knocked her out to which he fessed up to.

Seeing the actual full video doesnt change what happened. It just created an emotional frenzy and a new jerk reaction.

Like I said, the NFL admitted they screwed up by giving him 2 games... seems now they shot themselves in the foot by trying to correct that mistake when the full video surfaced. Ironically, in the end, it wont be Rice's head thats going to roll.

Cheers, K

She could have been really drunk and passed out... He was pissed/annoyed about it and that's why he drug her out. Just one scenario.

Ray Rice told NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on June 16 that he punched his then-fiancee in a casino elevator, four sources have told "Outside the Lines," an assertion that contradicts Goodell's statement this week that "when we met with Ray Rice and his representatives, it was ambiguous about what actually happened."

Sources: Rice told NFL he hit fiancee

Fire Goodell & hire a commissioner who'll put the fun back into the "No Fun League." I want to see players allowed to :happydance again after scoring a touchdown,& even group :everybodydanceing after scoring a touchdown.

Every day we're either hearing something new or contradictory....Goodell's might possibly be hot water but I doubt the NFL board will fire him... ie- Cash is King!

Wait, you think a new commissioner is going to roll back safety and drug rules something?
No,celebrations in the end zone. The emoticons represented dancing. I'm just having fun ragging on Roger Goodell. If he really did something wrong, then he needs to go,but I think political correctness is trying to make an example of Roger & whoever else it can drag down. This has all of the potential makings of China's "Cultural Revolution," where the purged were forced to be paraded down the streets wearing dunce caps & signs around their necks proclaiming their "sins," & the purges from the Tailhook scandal back during the 90's. The politically correct want to "clean house" of who they perceive to be "sinners." Law enforcement & the NFL both messed up in how they initially treated Ray Rice,& in the case of the NFL suspending Rice indefinitely, that amounts to double jeopardy. They should have got it right the first time. In this I agree with the Ravens' fans wearing Ray Rice jerseys last night. For anyone who'd say I'm condoning domestic abuse,I say shove it up your [blank],DOUBLE JEORPARDY.

You asked "How do people think she became unconscious in the first place?"

It was a rhetorical question. He's arrested for domestic violence then shortly after a video surfaces showing Rice dragging her unconscious body out of an elevator. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out what happened.

Folks knew for months what exactly happened, by Rice's own admissions..... But apparently seeing the act made it much worse?

I do wonder why only a clip of the elevator was released in Feb and not the full thing. Had the full video been released in Feb and the NFl acted, all this "Rice-o Drama" wouldve been avoided.

I think it was leaked. Same system, just a different camera source. Its plausible whoever "leaked" it didnt leak the entire thing hoping to get $$$ out of it.

This whole drama isn't about Ray Rice anymore,it's a scandal involving a potential NFL cover up. Like it or not,Ray Rice has a legitimate grievance in how he was let go by the Ravens & suspended indefinitely by the NFL. The NFLPA has a duty,no matter how unpopular,to file a grievance on his behalf, either with the NFL or an arbitrator. Unless Maryland(home of the Ravens) & New York(where NFL headquarters are located?) are "Right to Work"states, where you can be fired for any reason,or no reason at all,Rice has a case to be reinstated to play with the Ravens,or whoever will sign him. He's a punk, but the NFL was wrong to originally only suspend him for 2 games, then invoke double jeopardy by suspending indefinitely for the same offence.

I agree a new commish will not do much if anything. Secrets and cover ups will always exists no matter whether it be in politics or in sports.

When all of this has finally blown over,I predict that Roger Goodell will have lost his job,& that Ray Rice will have his old job back in the NFL.
I predict the exact opposite.
