Ratchet & Clank Future: TOD Demo

In case anyone's curious, I got the playable demo disc from Gamespot last night by reserving the game, and it looks like this is going to be a great game.

For those of you that have played the older games, this one looks to have all the fun of those and then some, and the graphics are AMAZING at 1080p and 60 fps.

The only issue with the demo was some screen tearing and frame slowdown at a couple of points, but the folks at Insomniac are saying they resolved those weeks ago and the demo is an older build. They are hoping to have the updated code for the PSN-downloadable demo, which is due out on 10/4.

Assuming those problems are resolved as they say, this game is going to score one in the PS3-exclusive column for sure...

Great to hear.

The Ratchet series has been a mainstay in our home (my wife, especially, is a HUGE fan). It's definitely one if not THE title we'll be buying with the system this holiday season.

Those Insomniac folk do good work.

A few changes to my OP...

PSN Demo release has been pushed back to 10/11, and the actual release date has been pushed to 10/30 (bummer!).

Graphics are actually set to run at either 1080i or 720p, no 1080p from what I have heard... minor bummer, but the 1080i should still be good, and it is still at 60 fps.

The quote I saw the other day was that they have redesigned the engine from Resistance: Fall of Man so that it's running 4 times as fast and at twice the frame rate...
