Ranking all 32 teams at quarterback

Playing every team in the WEST, AND the two Super Bowl contestants, Jacksonville, and the NFC Central is NO WAY a "patsy" schedule. Plus you add an up and coming team like Tennessee and always good team in the Dolphins...and that is in NO WAY a "last place team" schedule.

I highly doubt that people would consider Miami, Tennessee, Minnesota and Green Bay....."wins"...the others...maybe....

Like I said...I figure I would be happy with 6 wins....

20. Lions (2006 Rank: 24)

Jon Kitna put up good numbers on a bad team. (Nick Laham / Getty Images)

Jon Kitna finished 11th in the NFL in DPAR, but even Football Outsiders stats can be snookered once in a while. DVOA ranked him as a league-average quarterback, but an average quarterback who throws 596 passes is a pretty valuable commodity. Kitna was exceptional in the final two weeks of last season — 589 yards, seven touchdowns, one interception against the playoff-bound Bears and Cowboys — but he surrendered too many sacks and turnovers before the yuletide surge. He's a serviceable custodian who reads defenses well and can pick apart zones.

Dan Orlavsky and Drew Stanton are vying for the heir apparent role. Orlavsky, a third-year player from Connecticut, has NFL size and athleticism, but he hasn't distinguished himself. Stanton survived the John L. Smith era at Michigan State, so he's ready for the worst the Lions can throw at him. He's a scrambler who throws a nice short ball but needs to work on his mechanics and recognition.

Can you believe the Lions QB's are ranked this high ???

Kitna is servicable, can be good in the right situation...
It says he was exceptional in the last two weeks of the year !!!!

He should have been that way after game 10 when they were mathmatically eliminated, seeing there was no longer any pressure on him to make good on the year.

Orlovsky has not played enough to tell if he's any good.
Stanton being a rookie cannot be lumped in the good/bad catagory yet.
Do you consider Stanton to be a scrambler ? I don't, yet he can move around enogh to do good things, but would not consider him a scrambler, lets let him develop before we classify him as a scramlber.

Jimbo

I can't beieve I'm doing this, but I'm going to defend Kitna. This guy threw for a whole shitload of yardage DESPITE the second worst line in the NFL, a nonexistant running game, and only 2 wideouts who could catch the ball. Did he make mistakes? YES. You would too if you got your bell rung as many times as this guy did. If I hurt the turf as often as he did, I wouldn't be able to remember my name, let alone call a play and execute it. As for Orlovsky, the jury is out until we actually see him play. Stanton displayed scrambling ability and then some at MSU. (Especially against my beloved Wolverienes).

Now this a tough schedule. but 12 and 4 would be good.:D

He is overrated according to alot of people. His team got him the Super Bowl not him. He sucked in the Super Bowl.

Maybe if the Bungle players stop going to jail, they might have a chance to go to the Superbowl, never mind, they will lose somehow.

BTW, how many Superbowls have the Bungles won?

What I know, none.:D

I was referring to OTHER teams, such as the better teams .... Not the teams some of us pull for (Lions, Raiders Vikings ect.)

Yes, they have to be out of jail in order to actually have a ticket to get into the Super Bowl. :)
