Radio shack closing 700 stores nationwide

Their president resigned, questions about his qualfications I guess toys arent profitable anymore..... profits off 68% but 700 is a lot of stores....

a buddy of mine has worked for RS for near 30 years, he didnt take the news well that his store was closing....

They have too many stores. Here between Huntington and Charleston WV, about 50 miles, there are at least 7 stores. That is too many for our population base. We don't need a Rat shack every 7 miles.

Back on topic...

Rat Shack used to be cool for us who tinkered with electronics to get cool stuff, and parts you couldn't find anywhere else, but when they changed to be a mini best buy, and try to shove cell phones and satellite dishes down your throat every time you walk in, they definately went downhill.

I used to go to RS all the time, but recently, haven't been in one for almost a year.
