I have noticed over the past week that many times a post is quoted it does not work properly. Does anybody know what might be going on?

Not sure! But it just worked fine for me.

Sometimes it does. It seems to be during certain stretches that it has problems.

That particular example had two open quotes tags adjacent to each other, like

[ quote=msmith198025;1344129 ][ quote=TWT;1344003 ]


As a result, it produced this output: [ quote=msmith198025;1344129]

It is almost always a result of user error. [ quote ] has to be followed by [ /quote ] in a logical sort of way.

It has happened to me once and when I clicked the quote button here is what happened.

[ quote=username ][ quote ] message [ /quote ]

If you want to call it user error that is fine but it has been happening way to much lately and by many that are long time members

I see what you are saying; the next time it happens, let us know, so we can check on it.

It is that second [ quote ] which is strange; not sure how it is showing up.

Well... I see the problem, and it just happened to me in a post; that I then had to edit out the offending code.

I think it happens when post that you are quoting begins with a previous quote.
