Quick signal question

We are having our roof & eaves done in the next 2-3 weeks so the wife was on me to move our 2 Dish's off the roof & mount on the chimney. I decided to tackle it myself. I was able to move & mount both the BTV & DTV Dish's onto the chimney easily enough both with proper bracing. I tuned them in pretty good being an amateur to the outside part of setting up a dish. While I'm getting between 92-97% on all transponders on 101 and 85-93 on 99C, I'm only getting two transponders on 99S(locals I assume) 87% on one and 92% on the other, 103CA is 82-96% on all. 103CB is 82-94%, now on the 103S sat I'm sure that before I moved the dish I was getting nothing on any transponder but now after the move I appear to be getting 47% on transponder 1 and 67% on transponder 4, with the rest all zero. How can this be? As far as I know I'm not missing any channels that weren't there this morning. My wife thinks our locals are on 103S, but I'm sure it's 99S. We moved back home(Minot) a few months ago and at that time I had my local dealer buddy handle the setup. He is away for a few weeks so that's why I tackled it myself. I'm wondering what is exactly on 103S?

103s has only local channels. Minot locals are on 99s transponder 21. BTW, your signal strengths are pretty good. An experienced installer could get them higher, but you did good!

That's good to know thanks. Ive always considered myself a pro on the in-house portion of sat install IE: cabling, installing switches, equipment setup, ect,ect, but I've always been a novice at outside setup portion. Also believe it or not I was able to get 100% on Bells Nimiq 1 sat & 84% off of Nimiq 2 all on a standard Dish 500, although at first I kept hitting Echostar 110 but finally figured it out.

Ya I'm getting 87% on tp 18 & 92% on tp 21 of 99S

I'd like to see pictures of this secure chimney mount lol.. if you ever need a service call directv is not required to touch it.. just so you know.

I'm always leery when I hear of a chimney mount, but then again, it's not on my house so I don't have to worry about it!

Back when I was a retail installer (just starting out, long time ago), I did a few chimney mounts... I had some straps that worked pretty well on standard definition hardware, used anchors on slimline. At his point in my career, I would rather drive my van in to a lake than go near a chimney, though.

Actually if I did need a service call the tech wouldn't need to get off the ladder as it's easily accessible from the side.
