I have my H10 sending video via the HDMI output to my Sharp Aquos HDMI input. Here's how I'm connecting things:
HDMI from the H10 to the HDTV
Optical digital audio cable from the H10 to a RCA Dolby Digital stereo receiver.
My questions are:
1) I would like to send audio and video to the HDTV via the HDMI instead of connecting a set of analog audio cables for audio. I can send video just fine via HDMI, but when I turn to an HD channel, I have to turn off the speakers on the TV because I receive static. Is this normal behavior?
2) When I turn to an HD channel, my RCA receiver notices the change to Dolby Digital audio and adjusts. When I go from an HD channel to a channel not providing Dolby Digital audio, I lose the audio out of the RCA receiver. I'm almost positive that when I had my D*Tivo hooked up to this receiver, I could switch between DD and non-DD channels without losing audio or having to make changes on the RCA receiver to gain back my audio.
Any clues?
