Hi,

I had DISH a couple years back.
They put in a DP34.
It's outside and the caps have been covering the coax connectors.
I'm assuming it still works ok. No idea how long they last outside before
going bad.

I also had a 148 wing dish 300 put in for the internationals.

I plan to sign up again with DISH.
Is there any need to change the DP34 to a DP44 (or is it a DPP44?).

I do not want a powered multiswitch.
I'm not sure if the DP44 or DPP44 is powered?

I plan to use a 722 and 625.

My other question is about 148.
I see that 118.7 now carries most of the 148 international channels.
Will the signal strength in Oregon be as good with 118.7 as 148.
If I recall I got around 60-75 signal strength for the 148 dish.
The other dish I had for 110 got around 90+ signal.

Are there any channels that are exclusive to 148?
So I could still have dish set me up with 148 as well as 118.7 setup.

Lastly, I'd read that 129 is better with a single dish pointed at it.
I'm in Oregon. So should I get a Dish 300 or Dish 500.

Thanks for your help.

I do want HD and internationals.
My locals are on 110.

But I want a Dish500+ for 110/118.7/119 and a second dish for 129.
I was thinking a dish 500 for 129.

And I still have a Dish 300/500? for 148 that is still good to use for 148.
That's why I was wondering how good 118.7 is for internationals and signal strength. 148 worked fine but back then I had no choice. I can't get 61.5 at all.

Also, could someone tell me regarding the "No Power needed" multiswitch.
Can you tell me how many inputs and outputs they have and what my choices are. I know the DP34 takes four sats in, and has 4 feeds out.

Still would like to know if 148 has any channels that don't mirror elsewhere.

Thanks for the help.

Dp34

Your DP34 has 3 inputs and 4 outputs. If you want 4 satellite locations (110,119/118,129 and 148) I think you'll need a DPP44 powered switch. Not sure if you'll need all those locations though.

I'm closer to Idaho.
So I'd heard that using a dedicated 300/500 dish for 129 works pretty good.
Would it matter if it was a dish 300 or dish 500 for signal strength?

I would prefer a two dish setup if possible.
129 and the other dish 500+ for the other three sats.

148 would only be as a backup to 118.7.
But I'm guessing 118.7 is solid and dependable for the internationals.

If I only had Four sats in to a multiswitch do they make a non powered one. If so what are the models that would work with a 722/625.

Is it 4 or 5 sats in that you need a powered multiswitch.

Thanks for the answers.
