Because we have a very self absorbed, "me" society today and many people think they are entitled to do what they want regardless of suggested protocol.I don't understand why that is such a hard concept to understand. Scott clearly said he was looking for technical quesitons...
In their world, the "I want now" out-weighs any inconvenience (often not even perceived) caused to others.
A classic example is having to park so far away from the super-market because of all the shopping carts scattered helter-skelter all over the parking lot. Their desire to leave out weighs any inconvenience caused to the next person. In many cases it doesn't even cross their mind.
