Sweet! I can finally get rid of my Phonex adapter (currently on my 2nd 722K). But if two Hoppers can't see each other at first how will the caller ID info get to the second Hopper?
Plug both in.
Or wait for full integration. I will.

Correct, we have been saying that for awhile now. Hopper is not for everyone. So for areas without full hd locals, the hopper would have less tuners than the 722k does with both sat and ota tuners: 4. So unless DISH plans on getting the rest of the country up in hd , the hopper will not be suitable for everyone, especially if they are power users.
CBS routinely delays 60 minutes and subsequent programming on Sundays when a sporting event that is well outside the "primetime" hours runs late. We supposedly know they will extend the time if a sports event is inside the primetime window, but are not sure what happens if a 4pm ET ball game runs to 7:45 ET, therefore delaying the entire lineup.
2 questions...
1) If you switch to another tuner that someone else is watching do both people have control of the tuner???
2) I want to add an additional joey in the future...will up to 3 joeys still be free still in the summertime??? (not sure if anyone would know this ? though)
Thanks in advance
I'm getting lost going through all of the threads. Scott- Has Dish "revisited" the "No-Hopper and VIP cohabitation" rule? I know that you said they were listening and considering. Are there any updates? From what I've seen on the Boards, I think that issue will impact the decision for many.
I have DTV, looking to switch, but DISH doesn't have my locals in HD. I only have 2 TVs, would it make sense for me to get the hopper/joey since the PTP won't be available to me? Will PTP work if/when they start HD service in my area?
Also, any idea when that might be?
but it was my understanding that the internet connection is not a necessity, just a luxury. This is satellite after all, not U-Verse.The Hopper can either be wired directly with an ethernet cable, use an optional wireless adapter or use the Hopper Internet Connector.

Any idea when Dish will answer our questions?[/QUOTE] I got a note from them about 2 hours ago saying they are hoping to respond to them tonight so if they send them to me earlier enough I will have the answers online tonight, or sometime tomorrow morning.Scott,
