Questions about The Hopper?

1st hopper will be free for existing customers with at200 or higher and agree to a 24 month commitment with auto pay and paperless billing. U heard it here first.

That's not really news...First hopper incurs no monthly fee. But it and up to three Joeys will cost current subs $99.00. Only new customers with 200/250 will get the equipment free...unless there has been an overnight change.

Edit: see below where Scott says the whole sheet is for a New Customers only. It basically lays out the cost for new customers to upgrade to more equipment for the initial install.

Shows zero for DHA in the column for "Receiver Upgrade Cost". Now to figure out if there's an installation fee and if we can downgrade the Top 200 at some later date if we don't like it.

Again remember that work sheet is for NEW CUSTOMERS, not EXISTING CUSTOMERS! :)

Is that why it says upgrade scott?.... I didn't know a new customer could upgrade. It's an existing customer upgrade sheet. Im also the same guy who said march 15th before anyone else. Fyi ;)

Basically you do pay 99 but then that amount is credited back. Truth be told I may be wrong but the speculation is exciting.

Basically you do pay 99 but then that amount is credited back over the next 12 months so the net expense is zero.
can we get a screenshot of the full page that includes those details because what you're saying differs significantly from what Dish just announced a few days back?

Here is the Customer Estimate Sheet. There is a better one already on here somewhere but I couldn't find it so I am posting mine for the time being.

Looks like new customers to me. The only thing that sates otherwise is in the fine print where it says "New and qualified DISH Network customers only"

Will the component output send an HD signal out or will it be downconverted? It seems like they've threatened to downconvert the component output in the 922 but so far as I know they never implemented that. I'm currently using component for my main TV and the HDMI is sent through Ethernet cables to my bedroom TV and I'd like to continue that, as I don't need a different channel simultaneously in each location. Mirroring works perfectly for my needs.
