Up and running at last and having a ball. THANKS FOR ALL OF THE HELP.However, I am switching from a C band LNB to an old KU Band LNB, by hand, on my 10ft BUD.
However I want to upgrade. I have been checking out the BSC621-2.
I understand that some of you are using the BSC621. If I am understanding correctly the -2 is Universal.
#1 Does the di-electric (circular) plate have to be taken out each time you want to receive C or Ku signals?
#2 When receiving the circular signals is it capable of receiving DSS signals?
#3 Since the -2 is a universal LNBF will that keep me from receiving the regular North American Sats.?

It's for Linear / Circular signals, not C to Ku.

Wrong Freq. I believe.

No. A Universal LNB covers the full Ku Band - used in Europe, some Atlantic Sats, a Standard LNB covers what is used on Sats over North America.

DSS runs at a higher Freq than Universal and Standard.
For DSS on a BUD, you just "strap" a DSS LNB next to the BUDs scalar ring in the 3 o'clock position.
