Questions about MRV and HD boxes

I have an HR23-700 and an H23-700 and they both are connected to my network. I have a few questions before downloading the newest CE.

1. Does the latest CE enable MRV via the internet or what?
2. Do I have to download CE on both boxes as I have three boxes in my house?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

1) It does not allow MRV over the internet. It is only across your local network within your home.

2) It depends. Do you want to watch the recorded shows on both boxes? If the answer is yes then you need to have the CE software on both boxes. If you only want to access on of the DVR's recordings then you only need it on the DVR that you want to use as the client device and stream to.

You also didn't say what the third box you have is so I can not comment on if that box would need the CE software installed or not.

My third box is a standard one. I think it is great that I can watch DVR recordings on my H23. Thanks for the help.

Sorry but I miss read your receiver types. If you have a DVR and a H23 then you only need the CE code on the H23.
