Well, I've hooked up my new analog receiver and have tried tuning in the Ku analog test slate on AMC 2. I was able to tune in the channel, so I'm at least happy to see that my receiver is working, however the video does have quite a bit of snow in it. I did try adjusting the AGC and IF bandwidth on my analog receiver, a Standard Agile Omni, but neither adjustment helped all that much. I'm guessing that there might be a few scenarios here...
-My dish, a 76cm Winegard, just might not have enough gain for Ku analog reception.
-My dish isn't peaked on AMC 2 (haven't gone out to try peaking the dish yet).
-My LNBF, an Xtreme II, might not perform too well for analog reception.
Just thought I'd see if anyone else has run into the same issues when trying to tune in analog Ku on a 76cm dish. I do plan on going out later this afternoon and seeing if I can peak the dish a little more, using the analog signal as a reference.
