I have a new install scheduled for sat, I got a 942 and a 625 receiver, and
have two dishes scheduled for install...a super dish and another dish for
Voom.

I live in a 2yr old house that I own, I have RG6 run throughout the house, I
currently have cable, and need to retain it for Cable modem reasons. At the
same time I would like the installer to use my houses wiring so he would not
have to run 4 new runs within my house. Currently only one coax wire feeds
to the coax wiring junction in my house. Can he use a diplexer (misspelled?)
to share the same line cable is using to feed in to my house?

Assuming the installer is using DPP technology, it's just a matter of bringing in two lines into the home; one for each receiver. Presumably, the DPP44 Switch will be outside the home. The modulated backfeed signals to the respective TV2's will be diplexed using existing RG6.

As far as the matter of your cable modem, as long as the rest of your outlets are disconnected from the cable, your modem should be fine. I wouldn't risk diplexing into an active cable line that is being used for a cable modem. A little too close to the satellite freq's

You can diplex to an active cable line if you need to, you wont have any problems at all, the frequecies are not close at all

So the installer should be able to install a diplexer outsude and hook in the cable line and the Sat line into and then utilize my home RG6 wiring?

Does that also mean I should be able to buy another receiver down the road and hook it up the home wiring?

Does this mean if you use a diplexer for cable and sat, you can have either or both from any one jack in the house??

not true at all, you will need 2 lines from the DPP 44 to your 2 locations, 2 dpp separators and 2 dpp rated diplexor. do not attempt to run sat and digital cable over the same line as this will cause degradation of both signals, you will lose speed on your cable modem and it will freak on some transponders on your sat. Easiest solution being you don't have a TV in the same room as the cable modem or get a wireless router and a wireless card for your computer. do not attempt to have both on the same lines as this will just cause headaches for both services. Put the modem and router at your central location and forget about it

What R My Options?? Help me!!!!
