I have a local guy selling both, my question is does either one have a fully functional blind scan and does the hd get the s2 hd feeds or is it only for the non real fta use?

The reason I ask is I once bought a viewsat ultra lite and it didnt have a true blind scan on it which I really need.

Thanks guys! I am trying to piece myself together a motorized setup today so i can catch some stuff before the weekend is over!

Nevermind, I thought I looked well into the review page only to go back and find it! lol.

Anyhow I see that the hd will scan in some s2 ,but the blindscan doesnt work properly. It is obvious what the receiver was really made for!

There used to be tons of fta dealers around Houston, I guess they all went out of business! I had a guy before who would actually sell out of his garage! I could just pop buy and grab a motorized system and a pansat usually for $220 or less! Now he is even out of the biz! I hate having to order online because I know as soon as I do a great system is going to pop up on my local craigslist! Maybe I will have to take a 3 hour drive to Dallas! A guy there has a 1.2 meter with motor for sale for $100! Too bad it is so hard to ship a dish that size! And expensive!

I'd be hitting the road for that 1.2m & motor! :)
As for good local system, the microHD receiver from SatelliteAV is too new to be available locally, and that is the only receiver I'd spend a dime on. ;)

Actually there is a sadoun in a nearby town outside of Houston, about a 2 to 2 and a half our drive from me but I might have to go there to buy that microhd locally. The only thing is the guy only has 33" dishes and he is out of motors or else i would have no problem driving to sadoun and buying the whole combo! That is why I am piecing it together hopefully today!

Lizards choice

For a 1.2m dish, my preference would be a molded Andrew/ChannelMaster/Primestar, or the one from SatAV.
Any other 1.2, and I'd be stingy with a buck.

As for motors, isn't the DG380 from Sadoun still first choice?
There is discussion about the 9120 A/B (?) from WSI/GalaxyMarketing, but I don't know enough about it.

Of course, for only $100, I might be flexible on motor & dish. :)
Just don't expect a 2100 to sling a 1.2 around for long. ;)

If Sadoun has the SatAV microHD in stock, that's a given.
If not, then order it directly from SatAV - there is really no alternate receiver.
