Ok, I used club dish card from one of the members here to sign up with Dish Network last month. I used Dish1up to sign up for my subscription. They said no problem with the card. Well, as it turns out, after many phone calls with Dish1up, they are now being told by DishNetwork, that I cannot qualify for the $50 credit using the card because I did not go through DishNetwork. The member here who gave me a number to use, he does not get his credit either. Apparently they are saying, that the cards are only good through Dish, and no other retailer. Forgive the dumb question, but are they right? Or are they just blowing smoke up my @ss to get rid of me?

There are two different "codes" on each card, one for direct ordering from Dish, the other for orders placed through a retailer.

I have a friend who is trying to get their Club Dish number and they would not give it to them as I already have an installation date for this Saturday. I havn't signed any contracts or anything. Dish told my friend that they will send them cards but they will not give it to them over the phone. What kind of crap is that?
It's probably too late since your install is already scheduled and everything... but, tell your friend to sign into "their" online account on Dish Network's website, and from there the friend can auto-generate some ClubDish numbers. I've done that, and had one successfully activated/rewarded.
Thanks for the info. I should just cancel my install and then just do it another time. They shouldn't have told Dish that I was already scheduled for an install but I didn't see why that mattered as I havn't signed any contracts or anything yet so I can still walk away at any time. I just don't get it.
You have to give them the Club Dish nubers when you sign up. You try to do it after you have ordered and they won't use it.

Or do what I suggested. She can log in right now and have some valid numbers for you in under 5 minutes.
