Question about my Sammy DLP

Why is it when I play my PS3 or my Blu Ray I can get the HDMI Black Level but when I play my HDDVD that is always grayed out? Is there a way I can get that to work for my HDDVD? Thanks

The A30 allows for black level adjustment only over component.
