I am in the process of getting Dish network. I have installed an OTA antenna and thought while I am running cable from the antenna to my tv that I would run the cables for the sat into the house also. The antenna will be connected to a grounding block on the outside and thats the point I would run the cables from to the inside for the sat receiver. Questions are is, will this be fine to the installer? Figure they would love not having to crawl under my house and running wire and I would make sure its done the way I want. I am using RG6Q cable so I think that should be good. Second question, I will have the ViP722k installed and I should be on the Eastern Arc 110/119/129. How many cables need to go from outside to the receiver, 1 or 2?

Be careful--the installer may want to kiss ya........

You only NEED one cable. As stated, it wouldn't hurt to have two, just in case..

If you're going to use OTA module on the 722k you'll want 2 lines going to the receiver. 1 for OTA and one for Sat. I say this assuming you'll be diplexing the TV2 signal.

I am interested in selling Dish

722 developed annoying intermittent noise
