I noticed on the back of this unit that there are two tuners. To use the two, do u just take one cable and split it or do u need two cables running from the satellite itself.

You must have two independent lines from the dish (LNB or switch). Or read further... ;)

The above will always work, but if the lines are coming from either a DishPro Plus LNB (I think DPP Twin is the only one currently) or a DishPro Plus switch (DPP44 is the only one currently), you really only need one line run to the 522. At the 522, the line must be split with a DishPro Plus Separator (no other type of splitter or diplexer will work).

Why is it that everyone asks that question, and that answer is easily findable by just doing a simple search???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Because all the newbies think that their question (whatever it is) is totally unique.

Of course, if it actually were, then us experts probably wouldn't be able to answer it! :D

And given the recent run of newbies in here, it's ok to ask. Dish configuration is hard to comprehend straight out of the gate, but once you get it down it's a breeze.
