Does D* set the local OTA stations to its own numbering system? The channels don't match with what antennaweb.org say they should be? Also is there anyone here that lives near the Quad Cities,IL/IA and what OTA antenna do you use to pick up all the channels?

Thanks,
Darrell

D* maps the analog locals into the numbers that are reported to them by said network affiliates, but the digital numbering can be off due to the scheme used by the local.

Can you tell us exactly which channels do NOT match in your market?
Obviously, I'm sure that the big 4 you get 4,6,8,18 all match, right?

I think what I was getting mixed up was the difference between frequency and channel. Channels according to the stations are correct. But for instance, channel for antennaweb.org reports on frequency 58.1. So I think I just had that mixed up.

Maybe I am still confused, here is the information from Antennaweb.org:

Antenna * Call Sign * Channel * Network * City * Compass Orientation * Distance from tower * Freq
yellow - uhf * KQIN-DT * 34 * PBS * DAVENPORT IA TBD * 240° 3.1 * 34
lt green - uhf * WHBF-DT * 58.1 * CBS ROCK ISLAND IL * 276° 9.4 * 58
red - uhf * KLJB-DT * 49.1 * FOX DAVENPORT IA * 177° * 12.8 * 49
red - uhf * WQPT-DT * 24.1 * PBS MOLINE IL * 177° * 11.7 * 23
red - uhf * WQAD-DT * 8.1 * ABC MOLINE IL * 177° * 12.8 * 38
red - uhf * KWQC-DT * 6.1 * NBC DAVENPORT IA * 177° * 12.8 * 56

Now according to D*'s assignment here is how they show up under the guide:

WHBF-DT/CBS Channel 4.1
KWQC-DT/NBC Channel 6.1
WQAD-DT/ABC Channel 8.1
KLJB-DT/FOX Channel 18.1
KQIN-DT/PBS Channel 24.1

The one channel I can't seem to get is CBS and I am wondering if D* is looking for this on the wrong channel?

antennaweb.org doesn't always have the correct info. I told them about one
of my local stations that is mis-identified. WTIC-DT is shown as 61.1 instead
of 31.1. They are actually 61 analog. antennaweb.org told me that the station
wanted it listed that way.
