I have a question regarding the WSI 8 foot solid C-Band dish. Would this be a good choice as a stationary dish for AMC3? If it was well tweaked with a good lnb and an Openbox S9 receiver would it get a good signal on ME , This, Nasa and some, most or all of the RTV channels? I know bigger is better when it comes to C-Band but the prices on new dishes plus shipping costs is obscene. I have given up on finding a good rescue dish locally(the recyclers have already picked the area clean). I live at 82W and 36N and have a motorized 90cm KU dish. I get good reception of the KU signals on AMC3 so my LOS to 87W is good. I will be in Atlanta in the next couple of weeks and can go by WSI, get what I need and save a bundle on shipping charges. Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions.

I will venture to say YES. Others have had success with the stronger RTV TP. with the 6ft. But do you know what's going to happen? After you get it installed, you'll run across a half dozen "in the wild" awaiting rescue. Give yourself a little extra time and keep an eye out, along the way, for others that scream "rescue ME" and possibly also bring home a bonus BUD.

Why don't you come to Madisonville TN and get one of the BUDs in my signature?
