Guys, would someone please do me the favor of checking if the below channels are still available? I was away from my home for several years and want to check if I can still get CBS on that sat (I only hav a DVB-S receiver). My actuator is done so I have to manually crank the dish, so before doing so I wanna see if its worthwhile to go to that sat.

I managed to get a DVB S2 USB Box, does anyone know where I can tune a CBS feed? I tried Lyngsat and The List but was unable to get any of the following:

  • the CBS feeds listed on Galaxy 28 at 89W
  • 3800V, 4080V, 4100H, 4140H, 4160V on Galaxy 19 AT 97W

are there any CBS feeds that y'all can confirm? I appreciate the help

The CBS feeds are 4:2:2 and cannot be received on a 4:2:0 STB. You could record (or if the STB streams) the 89w feeds and play back using a computer with VLC. If you want to watch CBS without streaming or recording you will need a PCIe Tuner in a PC or AZbox STB

thanks for the replies, unfortunately I am unable to lock any signal at 89W, I believe the footprint is weak for my location, I am just below Mexico City on this map:

I get all S2 8PSK feeds at 99W because thats a strong satellite but Im guessing S2 8PSK feeds at 89W are no go for me

Afraid lyngsat is out of date. Sathint also doesn't list any of those freq's on 97w
I also looked for them on the Amiko, got the only "Q" reading on 4080 V 30000
Two 4.2.2. channels.
Those 2 on 89W are the only 4.2.2 that I know of that are 'full time'.
