You've got that right Jim! This is the "Flakeyest receiver I've ever seen", but I couldn't imagine myself without it. It will eventually overload memory space and get completely out of hand? But, when it works right, and I guess it does most of the time for the most part, it's my favorite receiver!
I think his problem was the receiver defaults to 576p or 576i (PAL) maybe, and he needed to get it to 480p/480i/720p/1080i to get it to work. And it being for Europe, his may not have either of the 480's? Al

Al, I agree with everything you have said about this receiver. I don't mind the quirks that much anymore.......now that I know how to cure most of them. For awhile there, I am glad the sledgehammer was out in the garage.

I found two on ebay again I can get for around 300.00 shipped. Looking awfully tasty.:hungry:

I have to tell you Keith, no matter which way you go, once you get one of these babies and start seeing what you have been missing you won't regret it. As Al said about being with out it, mine got zapped by a power serge (insurance paid for it) and was gone about 10 days. I was shocked at how much I missed it. My son was home and wanted to watch Purdue in a bowl game and the Q was the only way to get it. He was pretty perturbed because he had to go across the street and watch it with my nieghbor, who is a Ohio State fan. I did feel sorry for him.
