PS3 Price Drop to $399

Looks like it might be happening in about 10 days at the Tokyo Games Show.

* 80GB PlayStation 3: $499.99
* 40GB PlayStation 3: $399.99
* Spider-Man 3 Blu-ray movie pack in with one, or both
* PlayStation 2: $99.99

This is apparently from a credible source as he has had lots of correct info in the past. So we'll see pretty soon. This would be great for the masses!

I am not sure if this will be enough to get out from under Halo 3's shadow.

Halo 2 still one of the most played games on Live, just unreal.

The #1 Sony console this Christmas far and away will be the PS2, will likely pick one up myself.

Hopefully by this time nextyear the 80 gig with the game bundled in will be down to $399.99. My fiance has a hard time accepting that I wanna spend more than $400.00 on a console.

The 80GB price drop isn't that shocking, but a new $400 40GB system would be huge news.

Bad thing for Microsoft is that the PS2 will still be selling more than the XBox 360 as well.
