PS2 Update?

Does anyone know if/how you can update the firmware and such in a PS2 Slim? I've never tried plugging it into the Internet, but mine does have the ethernet port in the back.

I don't think firmware can be updated in any of the PS2.
The DVD software can be updated, but the new software remains on the memory card and is read at bootup.
