Does it apply for a dish removed due to a roofing job. Does the protection plan go for the reinstall and reaiming? Or would I have to pay the $95?
Does the protection plan help in reducing costs when you go to upgrade? (to HD, switch arcs, etc.)

The answer is yes. Typically a technician visit is $95. With the Protection Plan it reduces that to just $15. The Protection Plan also covers the shipping and handling when we have to send a replacement unit. Normally it would be $15 for standard UPS shipping.
When we had our roof replaced in 2008, the roofers did not touch the dishes - both are mounted on the eves.
...Certain items such as remotes are only warrantied for 1 year after which replacement would cost $20.00 + shipping but with the service plan there is no charge.
Jumping in here. So Mary, replacement remotes are free if you have the protection plan? I just ordered a replacement remote today for my 622, anyway to get credited back the charge? If I have the protection plan, shouldn't the remote shown as no charge on the order?

The roofers took my two dishes down and the installer put my EA replacement dish in a new location for $15 total. If you were to have the dish moved to a new location then according to online chat it would be $15 + $50 with the protection plan. Then it would be another $15 + $50 to move it back to the roof...

Not surprised that you'd make a nasty post like that....
Not surprised. A CSR giving false info... Shocking...

It had absolutely nothing to do with a CSR.
You've been bashing Dish for so long that I'd hope you just go away. lol
EDIT: Now you have gone away.
Ignore feature still works, eh?
