Normally posts like this would get flagged as spam, but since charper is trying to help people find ways to prevent spam, this one can stay.

Ah thanks; since it is recommended and free I never thought of it as spam. I also posted it in the general Chit Chat area as many users never come in here thinking it is only for us geeks and PC, MAC types.

I know but I deleted that one, saying that the thread was in this forum....

I am going to check it out. Worth taking a look at.

BTW, we normally require posts that link to outside sides to have some text to go with it, so it is not just a link off the site.

Sorry, I did not know that one was deleted.

Basically its a home version (end user) of what you see everyday on the web to verify a "real user" vs a bot or crawler.. It explains it pretty well at the Carnegie Mellon website.

Apparently, not only does it protect your email address, it also helps with their digitizing old books project.
