Proper method to clean Dish

Today, I powerwashed my small second floor deck where satellite dish was installed. I carefully worked around it. There is some algae at the bottom and behind it. I would like to take a bucket of warm water and some mild detergent and clean it.
The wifey likes to go out there, sit, enjoy her early morning coffee while listening to the birds. Before she starts nagging regarding dirty dish, I am planning to clean it and get some 'good husband' points.
So, what are the suggestions?

Just use a little dish detergent to clean your dish! A small splash in a bucket with warm water and a rag should do it.

I use Dawn brand often on anything dirty. Got some old toothbrushes, too!!

Yep that's perfect. Leave the car wax in the garage, you don't want it on the dish.
