Hello. I'm new here. Usual apologies for a forum newb - sorry if this question has already been asked, I promise I searched, sorry if I posted in the wrong place 
My wife watches Project Runway. Alright, I admit it, I watch it too.
I have DirecTV with HD service. I have a channel called "Lifetime HD." Project Runway is on that channel. Project Runway has the little "HD" icon in the guide suggesting that it is in HD. Google search suggests Project Runway is filmed in HD (but I can't confirm that because I've never seen it in HD).
And yet Project Runway is not in HD. The season premiere was last week and it was not in high def. It is letterboxed and pillarboxed and the video quality is just terrible.
Anyone know what is going on here?
