Programming Remote for Sony DAV-C450

Can my 522 remote be programmed to operate my Sony DAV-C450 DVD/Tuner mini system? So far I've only been able to get expensive remotes (like Harmony and other high-end programmables) to work it. The problem is my Harmony SST-659 doesn't have the PVR buttons and I don't really want to buy a newer one if I don't have to.

This is not really an answer to your question, but I used a 2nd hand IPAQ 3950.

It is a color PDA with Nevo(Universal IR remote) built in. It provides a 1 remote solution and 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of a high end color All-in-1 remote.

The drawback is that it may not work as far distant on your TV/Stereo. The 522 seems to have a sensitive IR eye and it will pick up the IPAQ from about 10-12 feet away.

I used it to learn the PVR keys and use it now exclusively.
