I am having many problems with my setup, I know I need different hardware but Im not sure what I need.

I have 2 receivers and I am trying to connect to 3 satellites on both. I have a dish 500 and a 1000, with 1 SW34 switch. I cannot get the receiver to get a signal from all 3 satellites at once. Gets a signal from 1 satellite but not from the other 2.

What do you recommend?

What model receivers do you have? Are the dishes Dish Pro LNBs(DP)?
Is it a DP34 switch and what satellites are you trying to get?

Yes it is a DP34 switch. I am trying to get 110 119 and 129. I don't know if the lnbs are pro or legacy how would I find out?

I'm not sure exactly what equipment you have, but I will try to help.
As far as the 34 switch goes, it will either say SW34 or the DP34 will have large black letters D\P on the face of the switch.
The LNBF's if Dish Pro will have large black letters DP with other small letters spelling DishPro. Your check switch screen will also ident the equipment.

A 34 switch either legacy or DishPro is not needed for 3 satellites to hookup 2 receivers with single tuners.

Your dish 500 with a twin DishPro LNBF looking at 110 & 119 can go into a DP21 switch your other dish pointed at 129 can feed into the other input of the DP21. Output of DP21 goes to one receiver.

Duplicate above instructions for the other satellite receiver using the same LNBF's .
This would mean using 2 seperate DP21's for everything instead of using the unreliable 34 switches.

If your LNBF's are legacy, do the same as above but change switches to SW21 type.

There are other scenarios that you could have that have not been clearly discussed.

how many and what ype of receivers do you have and did they install one dish called a dish 1000 meaining 110 and 119 and 129 ? Sorry some of my questions may be duplicates but i assume you want of have a high def programming but what type of receivers do you have?

If you have a dish 1000, that is all you need.

The dish 1000 can receive all 3 sats 110, 119, 129.

The dish 1000 comes with DPP tiwn lnb which allows you to run 1 line to a dual tuner receiver with a dpp seperator.

If you are only trying to run 2 receivers(dual or single tuner) & trying for sats 110, 119, 129 you do not need a seperate dish 500 & you also do not need the dp34 switch.

Here is a link to the dish 1000 installation instructions

The way HD pricing should be

Dropped channels, bad DP34?
