Problems with Search and DVR program icons

That's the problem. I'm in a condo, and the association dictates where i can can/can't have a dish mounted. It's on the ONLY location i'm allowed to have it, and the tech that did the install had a hard time getting a signal. Add to that there's a tree just outside my balcony, i'm more and more convinced that the only reason he got the signal he did initially was because it was installed in March and the tree didn't have all its leaves yet. Now that it's in bloom, i think that's why the signal has gotten so bad...

I'm afraid that he'll see the (not-entirely-by-the-book) install that the original tech did 16 months ago and say that he can't do anything for me...

Not sure if true or not....drive a copper nail into the tree trunk and it'll eventually die and no more leaves to worry about. ;)

So i took a trip to the roof and did some "pruning" and here's what happened to my statistics :

110-14: 28 (then) 59 (now)
110-15: 28 (then) 57 (now)
110-16: 33 (then) 62 (now)
110-21: 32 (then) 59 (now)

119-14: - - (then) 62 (now)
119-15: - - (then) 66 (now)
119-16: - - (then) 75 (now)
119-21: - - (then) 69 (now)

129-19: 18 (then) 36 (now)
129-20: 18 (then) 34 (now)
129-29: 19 (then) 36 (now)
129-30: 18 (then) 34 (now)

I think this should take care of my signal problems, no? ;-)

I never look at my signals anymore and I know Dish changed the scale (used to be 0-125?) to 0-100, but those look to be somewhat okay. Signals from 129' are quite a bit lower in normal case, so yours are not something to worry about.

As of this morning, everything is working properly again. I received a software upgrade overnight, and now everything is working. So, i suspect that either the last update i received was bad or the bad signal issue was the problem. Either way, everything is working correctly, which is good. Even better, i'm getting a new Hopper with Sling tomorrow! :)

On my 1000.2 I get 80 on TP 16 sat 110, 87 on TP 16 sat 119 and 66 on TP 29 sat 129.

So your signal is not the best even after pruning. Chances are the offending trees/bushes will be back blocking your signal by next year. You should probably do more pruning or ideally move the dish.
