Hi,

I just joined and need help!

Having problems with two satellite systems using Dish Network 322 receivers one system has Dish Network DP-34's and the other JVI 35-DN34 switches.

On the system with three DP-34 switches I'm using just a dual dishpro lnb fixed on 119 satellite. These receivers need to be on all the time so I set the vcr timers and disabled the update. Along with three 322's, I have two 301's and two 311's but only the 322's have problems? They would either lose their signal, sound or picture and have to be turned off then back on or unplugged to start working again.

With the system using the two JVI switches they are hook up to two dishes, one dish, a 300 is on the 119 satellite and the another one on 110. Three 322's along with a 301 is used but only the 322's have problems. They seem to lose signal almost daily and I have to check switch to restore the signal.

I have tried everthing but bypassing the switch, hooking up one at a time and turning off for 20-30 minutes to see if an update would solve this, maybe this is a software glitch? Also the 322 receivers on the DP-34's have L421 software on them and the JVI have L422?

Help!

Peter

You can put two 322s with separators directly on a DPP Twin to get rid of the DP34 if it is a problem. You'll not win any awards for having the most cable running around.

That is very true, I redid my brother's house when he wanted a dual tuner receiver. He didn't want to run a second coax line to his den (line would have had to be run through carport, office and over two rooms to get to the den). We switched from legacy over to a DPP twin and was able to add 61.5 to his matrix and got rid of two single tuner receivers and his external switches in the process.

so if I am using a Dishpro Dual LNBF on a dish 300 I must hook up both lines to the DP-34 switch, one on input port 1 and the other on input port 2?

Just got an e-mail that one of the 322 receivers on the generic switches has been losing picture in the mornings only at 05:45, 06:00 or 06:15. Just have to turn it off then back on and it's ok until the next day. Anyone has a clue to what this could be I think these are the times all (322's) of them are freaking out when they do go down. I wouldnt want to change out these switches, run cables, and find out it still happens.
