I hope someone can help.
Ok so a couple of weeks ago i was useing a neighbors reciever on my system. Everything worked fine.
So i go and take it back to them when they came for a vacation and i get a call a few hours later and they say that the satelite reception keeps going out. We keep getting error 002 signal loss on satelite 119 , and so far it looks like the bottom 10 transponders on the even side ( 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2 ) are not picking up any signal. I figured theyre dish was slightly out of alignment so i tryed adjusting it to no avail.
I brough the system back here to my place where it worked just fine a couple weeks back and now i am getting the same error codes as they were haveing. I havent tried to adjust my own dish yet, but i figured id wait for advice first.
ohh yea - the reciever is the model 1000, and i think that both myself and my neighbor are hooked up to dish 500 satelite dishes and lnb's.
Anyone have any ideas ? could it be from the sun ? of coarse it happens both day and night, with clear skies, and no obstructions from either of our houses. Its also happening on both recievers that they have at theyre place here, but i dont know what the model of the other reciever is.
If anyone can help id greatly appreciate it. Thanks. SG
