Problem with install.

Used a club dish with a friend. Neighbor down the block. Disabled vet. Installer left ceiling tile off and wires hanging in front of pictures. Used preexisting wires from Antenna. Did not hook up antenna when done now no connection for it now which he wanted to keep hooked up. VIP722 with sling adapter and movie pass. Adapter and movie pass not working when he left. Talked with his girl friend on cell phone alot while there. Very bad Customer contact. What should he do? I feel bad. I recommended him to use this service and this is really a bad start. He is going to call tomorrow, but really what can he do? Really bad experience. Thanks for any help. I have gotten at least 7 people over the years to sign up, this is the first cluster f***. Like this. Thanks again.:(

I am so sorry that your friends installation ended up like this. Please see if you can have him contact me directly, either here or at my e-mail marycatherine.brady@dishnetwork.com. I will need his account information so i locate the dispatch and see about getting his install corrected ASAP! Thank you!

Best move !! :) If you see him get an account, give a nod/props when he does so others know. For what the men & women do (even potentially) for this country, lousy service is no reward.

If a installer is setting up a receiver can't they get the proper and current software on receiver. Or does it have to happen over time? And how long should it take? Thanks.

Latest software is downloaded when the receiver is installed. Are you sure its on his account?? Have Mary check his programming package and make sure he has the BBMP on his account.
 
The Blockbuster Movie Pass was there on the receiver and I am working on having the other installation issues resolved ASAP! No worries, he is in good hands and should be able to have it completely resolved shortly.

That doesn't always happen.. I just did a new connect on friday.. It downloaded everything and I activated the recv.. It still had the dish platinum. Not the Blockbuster movie pass.. My guess is it would hit it on the next round of updates..

Software yes. Programming no. It can take up to 24hrs for all your programming.
 
Update. Took 5 days to load blockbuster stuff. Not the end of the world. Just slow. He is waiting on his install problems. I guess the original installer has first chance to correct the problem. Has been about a week and he has still not heard from them which is funny cuz on a fresh install you get a phone call in a day.Mary has been working with him. Not having all the facts. To me seems deliberate that there is no contact. No missed calls, no messages. Bad customer service as started from the start JMO.
 
:( may that installer get there and be the best he/she could be (as should have happened first day) or may another installer come out and fix it 1000%!!
