Problem recording certain programs

About a month ago I started recording the series Magnum PI from the 2018 version not the Tom Selleck version. The EPG shows list it as Magnum PI and also as Magnum so I have to record both shows so I can get all episodes. I have a Hopper 3. This means that their is a folder of episodes for Magnum an d a folder for Magnum PI. On another note there are several shows like the Real McCoys that don't show the season or episode in the EPG.

The Guide is becoming an increasingly annoying issue. In the past couple of months I have had three instances where I set a timer for a particular show but when I went to watch it the show was completely different from what the guide said, not even the same series. Then there have been a couple of times where I set a timer to record, according to the guide, the original 1939 version of a movie only to end up with the 1990s remake.
