probelm with old tv

I have two standard recivers hooked up on new tv no probelm but when hooking up to old tv the tv gets alot of lines in the picture it worked fine on antenna can switch locations same thing happens. Thanks for your help!

What model of receiver are you trying to hook up? If it's an H20 or higher try going into setup & changing your resolution to only enable 480i.

How are you trying to connect old TV? Coaxial cable on ch 3?

Lines indicate rf interference so its possible that your using a damaged a/v cable or there is a metal fiber at the connection point thats bridging the gap between the center conductor and the outer casing.
