From what I've read, the LNB may have two outputs, one for V, and one for H.
That "splitter" may be a 2-input switch.
Got pictures, size of dish, description of LNB?

If the LNB has two outputs, check to see if they are labled V and H.
Like Anole said, the "splitter" of which you speak is probably a switch. If you want to use it for FTA, that LNB/Feedhorn combo is pretty good. Just need a 3x4 multiswitch to switch seemlessly between V and H. The line from the H port on the LNB goes to the 18V port on the switch and the V on the LNB will go to the 13V port. The receiver sends either 13V or 18V to the switch depending on what polarity you want.

Yes those are H and V outputs. I have one of my Primestar dishes aimed at G10.
Most everything on G10 KU is vertical so I only use the vertical output. So if you plan on using it for G10 you may want to only use that one output.

yes, just want to use it for G10, zipcode 95388, should I get a good pic with it here in california,
I would just connect the Vertical output then. I think there are 3 Horizontal Channels on G10 all educational (mostly boring stuff) but lots of exciting stuff on the vertical side. I always like to see pics of dishes, post it as a thumbnail for those on dial up.
Go ahead, get the H hooked up too eventually... The educational stations are pretty neat, especially if science and medical stuff fascinates you like it does me... I love seeing all those pics they do in the seminars on reconstructive plastic surgery and things like that... also love picking up a few seminars here and there on internet business stuff.
