I use a 22k powered switch right now, but have more than 4 lnbs connected.. could I connect a uncommitted switch on the non-22k side of does a 22k kill all signal regardless of side?

is there a good singal lnb (13v/18v) powered switch thats not that expensive? I did see a 99 dollar one on gosatellite.com, but some other places have them for less that half that.. just wondering if I could use a diseq switch (committed/uncommitted)?

Apparently, the Ecoda switches can pass diseqc commands.
A search on 22khz and Ecoda will yield more threads, but this one will get you started.
It also links back to previous info, so regardless of what you are up to, I think the answers are there.

If you'll describe your exact needs, LNBs, receivers, etc, I'm sure Iceberg or one of the other switch experts can help you out.
