powered ota antenna and swm 8 connections?

  • Server Issues.

We are very aware that there have been system issues the past few days. In troubleshooting the system, it has been determined that the issue is at our provider and is hardware related. As of 12:05 PM ET our provider has moved us to a new server.

Things seem to be running better on this new server. However in trying to diagnose the issue (before finding out it was a hardware issue) we made some system changes which we need to undo. So if you find any issues or errors please let us know in the Operations Center Forum.

Thank you for your patience! Sorry for the issue!

I just got my swm 8 connected and connected my ota antenna to it.My question is will the swm allow a powered antenna that needs the power adapter to be inside at the tv go through all the switching to power the antenna.I tried it with no luck.Is there a special di-plexer that will allow the power to go through it to the ota so it will work and will it work with the swm connection.
Thanks

The only way to do that would be to run a cable from the antenna to the power inserter and another cable from the inserter to the SWM8 (which would defeat the whole purpose of diplexing). Is there a reason you are unable to locate the inserter near the SWM8?

Just to let any one know,it works. You can add a powered tv antenna to a swm system with the above di-plexors.
